frequently asked questions

01.

How do I pick the right wedding photographer?

It is important that you and your photographer are the best fit to work together on your wedding day. Pick someone whose work you love and, equally important, someone whose personality you love - after all, you’ll be spending a lot of time together on one of the most important days of your life!

After photographing 200+ weddings throughout New England, my goal is to establish trust - trust that I can deliver your vision and a high-quality, luxury experience. I strive to make all interactions stress-free, and never leave you doubting if you made the right choice.

02.

Do you accept payment in installments?

Yes! As a recent bride, I want to make the booking process as easy as possible for my couples. I offer several payment installation options. Please reach out and I’d be happy to share details!

03.

Can we see a full gallery of a recent wedding?

You bet! I love sharing full wedding galleries for two reasons: first, you get to see what it looks like to work with me from start to finish on a wedding day, and all the little details that go into a wedding gallery and second, you get an internal sneak peek at how I deliver final galleries to my couples and all the fun features! Please reach out and I’d be happy to send one over!

04.

How would you describe your wedding photography and edting style?

I offer timeless and romantic wedding photography for the modern bride with an editorial flair. I shoot digital images with bright and airy edits that will not date, making sure the art can be hung on your walls years down the road.

05.

What is your background in photography?

Would you be surprised if I told you that the only job I’ve ever had has been in photography? From the first click of the shutter, I knew that photography was something I was meant to do. I got my first camera at the age of 13, and began interning for a Houston-based wedding photographer at 15. I shot my first wedding at 16 and haven’t looked back!

Since then I’ve included editorial and fashion photography into my portfolio and infuse a high-end magazine-worthy aesthetic into all of my wedding images. Think of it as the best of both worlds!

06.

How much wedding day photography coverage do we need?

The long and short of it? It depends. During your complimentary consultation, we’ll chat about your dream day and all of the images you’d like to have to remember it by. While most couples choose 8 - 10-hours of coverage, I’d be happy to provide a recommendation based on your goals!

07.

Do you help with posing?

Absolutely! When posing, I offer guided prompts that combine movement and still-pose interaction - think of it as the wedding day version of Simon Says (or in this case, Liana Says!) Movement and interaction in your photos results in natural and organic images that will never look stiff or awkward. Don’t worry, I’ve got you!

08.

Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

Absolutely! Lia Rose Weddings is an inclusive photographer and all are welcome, accepted, and valued.

09.

How long after our wedding will we be able to see the photos?

One week following your wedding date, you'll receive a sneak peek gallery of highlights from your day. The final gallery is delivered within ninety days of the wedding.

10.

Where are you located and will you travel?

While based in Rhode Island, I shoot weddings throughout New England and New York. I am full of wanderlust, love traveling the globe, and experiencing different cultures and people. I’ve captured couples walking down the cobblestone streets of Old Town Edinburgh, the steps of the Eiffel Tower, and hand-held strolls along the Champs-Élysées. Getting married abroad? My passport is ready!
